In October of 2004, The Neighborhood – A Vineyard Church was launched with the vision to “love God and neighbor”.  A single question solidified the mission of the church:

“If your church was to close its doors, would your community notice?  Would they care?  Would they cheer?  Or would they be sad?”

From the beginning, The Neighborhood wanted to do more than just the status quo.  This church would be a place that is active in transforming and impacting the community for Christ.  Our desire is to partner with what God is doing in the lives of people and families in our community and to to be representatives of God's unconditional love to our neighbors and the world. 

Although we are far from perfect we are completely aware of the fact that we can only love others because Christ first loved us.  It is His love that motivates us to be a people who desire to serve others with compassion and authenticity.
